  • The 2023 ROS Tournament Server is set with 'Episode 17.1 Version'.
  • A total of 6 teams will compete in the 2023 ROS Tournament.
  • At least 5 players must take part in the game on the team with 7 players, however the other team may still have 7 players.
  • ROS2023 battle map will follow a similar map system (mechanics) to War of Emperium.
  • ROS2023 will use Championship Game Map (rwc_arena04) as arena map.
  • The game will use Double Elimination System.
  • Each round is expected to last 7 minutes, and the Guild Leaders of each team will draw the battle order on the day of competition. The time limit for entering and logging in to the game is set at 3 minutes. There is also a 5-minute preparation time after each round. The actual time allotted will be determined by the situation and will be adaptable as needed.
  • Every game and every round may have a class change, but it must be done within the allotted time. It becomes possible to fight without having prepared if the class changes and the settings are not finished beforehand. You cannot change your class once you enter the arena.
  • The referee will check with the team leader before the game to see if a class substitution is necessary. The characters in this round can no longer be changed after the on-site confirmation.
  • All items must be purchased through NPCs in the 2023 ROS server. Please refer to the list of 2023 ROS-specific item which can be downloaded below.

    • In 2023 ROS server, the cooldown of the following skills are increased by 0.5 seconds

  • The skill damage received in the battlefield is 40% of the original damage (60% reduction).
  • Items sold by NPCs can be purchased with the amount of Zeny provided, but some items (Poison Bottles, Acid Bottles, Bottle Grenade, Rune Stones, etc.) have quantity restrictions. Please refer to the item list that is provided above.
  • Special items (Makeover Brush, Paint Brush, Wolf Flute, etc.) provided during the 3rd class transfer will be provided free of charge through NPC.
  • Royal Guard can gain experience points through NPC once.
  • Weapons and armor can only be refined up to the specified level.

  • Items in 2023 ROS server cannot be dropped, traded or stored.
  • All participants must use the characters created in the ROS server to participate in the match.
  • Officials will provide each team with 13 accounts, with each account containing 6 characters of the same class (excluding Expanded class and Doram), which named as ROS01, ROS02, ROS03, ROS04, ROS05 and ROSFINAL.
  • For every game, each team is required to use a new character. For instance, in Match 1, Character 01 will be used by Team A and Team B. Match 1's victor advances to Match 3, which uses Character 02, and so forth. The FINAL character will be used alone in the Grand Final Match.
  • The varied character rules mentioned above must be utilized in conjunction with a separate guild. For instance, Character 01 must be a member of Guild "GGL_01," Character 02 must be a member of Guild "GGL_02," and so on. The guild must be formed independently by each Team Leader.
  • Players from each team are able to set up their character online during the determined period of character setup

  • *ROS server does not allow the use of Kafra storage, and the equipment of each character in the account cannot be shared.
  • The Base Level of all classes is set at level 170, and the Job Level is set at level 60.
  • The Job Level of all classes is set at 50 LV for the 1st Class, 70 LV for the 2nd Class (Transcendent), and 60 LV for the 3rd Class.
  • There are 49 skill points for the 1st class, 69 for the 2nd class, and 59 for the 3rd class. Therefore, 177 skill points in total will be provided, and the Basic Skill points are acquired on 9 LV.
  • There are 7 transcended 3rd class characters on each team, and each team is allowed to send up to 7 players into the arena.
  • Each account has 20 million Zeny for each of the characters ROS01 through ROS05, and 25 million Zeny for ROSFINAL character for the final match.
  • Before starting the game, players must finish setting up their character's skills and stats. If the player didn't finish it beforehand, it will be regarded as a rule violation, and a warning will be issued. The player will be disqualified if they disregarded the warning and failed to make the required changes.
  • Prior to the game, player who want to use Shadow Chaser's Intimidate skill to copy skill must do so in the practice area. Player can still copy skills while a match is in progress, even though leaving the arena to copy skills again is prohibited. Other accounts that won't be played won't be available once the entry to the arena waiting area closes.
  • Players must prepare any additional classes they need for use in the second or third round during the preparation period, which is set at 5 minutes.

CHECK-IN NOTICE

  • Each team member must register and present identification to the registration personnel for verification. They will be given the [Player ID] and [Game Rules] after it has been determined that their identities are accurate.
  • Guilds will be disqualified from Ragnarok Stars 2023 if they are not present or if they register after the registration deadline.
  • It is expected of Guild Leaders and Members to follow the Guild's game schedule. They shall be disqualified if they are unable to perform on time because they left the scene or for any other reason.
  • Please keep the mobile phones of each Guild's members close by in case they need to leave the location for a meal or to leave after the game has started.
  • The Guild Leaders of each team are responsible for keeping their members in line throughout the entire event. Please let the guild leaders inform the staff of any issues that affect guild members or guilds.

TOURNAMENT RULES

  • Players should take their seats after entering the playing area and pay attention to the referee's instructions. Both hands are not allowed to touch the keyboard or mouse prior to the referee making the start of the game announcement.
  • After the referee signals the beginning of the preparation period, kindly log into the game account. The character number that each team will utilize will be announced by the referee. (The final championship game will be played on character, ROSFINAL). The NPC shops in Izlude will also be accessible at this time. Each team will have 3 minutes to get ready. This includes switching class, configuring keyboard shortcuts, or using the Shadow Chaser's Intimidate skill to copy skill. They cannot be changed mid-game and must be completed before entering the arena.
  • The Guild Leader should confirm the 7 classes that will be used in each round before the pre-match preparation time starts. The classes in this round cannot be modified once they have been verified as accurate. Changing classes is only possible in the following round.
  • Please alert the on-site referee and staff during setup time if any issues arise (such as computer software and hardware malfunctions, etc.) for participating players. The referee has the right to eject a player from the game if their malevolent behavior interferes with their ability to oversee the game.
  • Following the completion of the preparation period in Izlude, the participating Guilds should proceed to the arena waiting area as directed by the staff and referees present. The 5 minutes preparation period in the arena waiting area will then begin after the entrance NPC has been closed.
  • Before each round of the game, players are permitted to switch classes, but they must finish their preparations in 5 minutes or less. Please inform the referee of the change as soon as the preparation is finished.
  • The matches will begin from Match 1 through Match 10 in ascending order. The winners from Match 8 and Match 9 will proceed to play Match 10 to determine the champion. (See tournament bracket for detail)
  • Team that lost in Match 09 will be placed in the 3rd Position.
  • The first 4 Matches of the day will use Best of 1 System (1 win to progress), while other matches with the exception of final championship game, are Best of 3 (2 wins to progress). To determine the champion and runner-up in the final match, a best of 5 (3 wins to win) game will be played. The winner of Match 8 will have a 1:0 initial edge in Match 10.
  • The winner of Match 8 will enter the arena waiting area from West of Izlude, while the winner of Match 9 will enter the arena waiting area from East of Izlude.
  • After entering the arena, the NPC at the entrance will be closed. Please enter as soon as you are ready, and once you are inside, no one should Log-out.
  • If there are more than 7 players in the game at any time, the team will be told to halt play immediately and be eliminated, with the opponent receiving an immediate promotion.
  • Match Preparation & Time:
    • Upon Log-in, players in Izlude have 3 minutes to prepare their characters. (Including learning of skills, buying items). If both teams finished the preparation early, the entrance will be closed in advance.
    • Players have 5 minutes to utilize the NPC shops in the arena waiting area.
    • At the end of each round in the match, players will be moved to the arena waiting area and have 5 minutes to utilize the NPC shops.
    • Official game time is set at 7 minutes.
    • When the game is tied on both teams, overtime will last 7 minutes.

BATTLE RULES

  • All players will be teleported to the arena after the 5 minutes countdown in the arena waiting area.
  • Players are not permitted to use any kind of stealth skills once they entered the arena before the game started. A warning will be given to the offending player the first time, and on the second offense, they will be disqualified and deemed as a defeat.
  • Please do not Log-out or leave the arena once all team members have been teleported to it. Wait for the online GM referee to declare the commencement of the game after the referee validates the entering players.
  • "The committee reserves the right to cancel the results and restart the game in the event of a technical disruption, such as connectivity problems, hardware issues, or any other irregularities. If there is a problem, neither team's composition can be changed.
  • Each participating team leader must confirm whether all team members have completed team formation. If the confirmation is not completed, each participating team will be solely responsible for any adverse factors that may occur.
  • The game will wait for the player's character to go online if they are offline after entering the arena and before the game starts. The game may start up to 3 minutes later in such a circumstance.
  • Both teams may start the game only when it is officially announced.
  • If the official game is in progress, in case of player disconnection or any force majeure factors, in order to maintain the fairness of the game and avoid affecting the progress of the game, in terms of elimination, no re-entry is allowed.
  • Kill the opposite team within 7 minutes, or the team with the most characters still alive wins.
  • Dead characters will be transferred to the arena waiting area while a game (including Best of 3, Best of 5, and extended matches) is still in progress.
  • Should there be an additional round and the number on each side stays the same, the winner will be determined by counting how many characters have survived from each of the game's previous rounds.
  • Arch Bishop class will not participate in the extra round; instead, the other classes will restart the game. In the absence of an Arch Bishop in the initial composition, the team will choose the omitted character. The team whichever member dies first loses and the game is judged over.
  • The total number of characters that survived the previous regular game rounds will be counted if there is still no winner after the extra round. The following criteria will be applied to decide if there are the same amount of characters left on both sides.
    • [Qualifying Matches] In the event that the extra round is left unresolved, it will be repeated until a decision is made.
    • [Final Match] Both teams will be placed in 2nd position.

STARDARDS FOR WINNING & LOSING AND LOSS OF ELIGIBILITY

  • The official client issued by the official must be used to run the game; other unofficial applications are not permitted. Whether the aforementioned action is discovered before or after the game, it will still result in immediate disqualification, prizes forfeited, and the opposition team advances.
  • The guild that the player belongs to will receive a warning the first time they are discovered to have impeded the competition's progress and will be disqualified the second time. Example: Using camouflage or evasion skills, acting impolitely or behaving in a way that the referee feels will hinder the game's progress, etc.
  • Please follow the referee's decision if there are any elements that are not covered by the rules. Those who contest the decision risk being warned and disqualified.
  • Please have conversation in the guild or team chat during the game. Player will receive a warning for the first time if he or she choose to communicate with others in the public chat instead of using the team chat or guild chat. A second offense results in disqualification.
  • A player who leaves the party while the game is still going on is considered to have waived their right to continue and will be required to stop.
  • If a situation does not follow the fair order of the competition, the referee has the authority to eject a player from the playing area in order to preserve the competition's fairness. If the situation is serious, the entire team will be dismissed.
  • Participants will follow the safety measures and competition guidelines mentioned above. They automatically forfeit their qualifications if they break the rules.
